What is a Notary Public and what services do they provide?
A Notary Public is a public official appointed by the state government to witness the signing of important documents and administer oaths. Services typically include verifying the identity of signers, witnessing signatures, and notarizing various legal documents.
What documents can be notarized?
Notaries can notarize a variety of documents, including but not limited to, affidavits, powers of attorney, loan documents, real estate deeds, and wills. However, certain documents may require additional information or may not be eligible for notarization. Feel free to contact us if you have questions about a specific document.
Can a notary public provide legal advice or draft documents?
No, notaries are not authorized to provide legal advice, draft legal documents, or perform tasks that go beyond their notarial duties. Their role is to verify the identity of the signer, witness the signing of documents, and administer oaths. Providing advice may land the notary in legal trouble up to and including incarceration.
How much does notary services cost?
The cost of notary services can vary, but it is often regulated by state laws. Common fees include a set amount for each notarized signature and travel. Check our Book Now page or contact us directly for specific information on fees for different types of documents.
What forms of identification are acceptable for notarization?
Acceptable forms of identification typically include state and government-issued photo IDs such as driver's licenses and id cards, passports, or military ID cards. It's important that the identification is current, unexpired, and includes a photograph and signature. If you have unique identification circumstances, please contact us in advance to ensure compliance with state regulations.
Can a notary public travel to my location for services?
Yes, we offer mobile notary services. This means we travel to your location, whether it's your home, office, coffee shop, hospital, senior or rehabilitation facility, or any another convenient meeting place, to provide notary services at a time that is convenient to you. Other mobile notary services may have additional fees, however, our travel fees are already included in our pricing. We also offer in-office services Monday through Friday by appointment only.
What are the requirements for a successful notarization?

The signer must have proper and valid identification.

The signer must be physically present.

The signer must be able to communicate in English.

The signer must swear or affirm the contents of the document for notarizations that require an oath or affirmation.

The signer must not appear to be confused, disoriented or lack the mental capacity to sign documents.

Do I need an appointment?
Yes, although we are sometimes able to accommodate same day clients it is preferable to book an appointment in advance in order to ensure a Notary will be available to see you. This also allows us to ensure we have all necessary documents in advance and that we are honoring your time.
What do I need to bring to my notary appointment?
Please bring all pages of the document to be notarized, a valid photo ID, and any other parties who need to sign the document. If your document requires witnesses, please bring them along with a valid ID or let us know in advance so we can make arrangements to provide witnesses for the appointment.
What are your fees for Apostille service?
Our fees vary based on the type of service, document complexity, number of documents, and travel requirements for mobile services. Please contact us for a detailed quote.
